Description of Jewellery
This piece draws from drum forms used in Miao ceremonial traditions, where circular bodies and sectional outlines organise the structure of the instrument. These elements are abstracted here into a compact form that remains clear when worn close to the face.
The form is contained within a defined frame, keeping attention on proportion and the clarity of the outer line. Made in 990 silver using coiled filigree techniques, the earrings retain the measured contours and structural density characteristic of this method.
The earrings present a long-standing structural form in a refined contemporary interpretation, allowing order and proportion to remain the focus.
